Travato Stock Screen Broke — Why I Switched to The Bug Wall
If you own a Winnebago Travato, you already know the stock sliding bug screen is… fragile.
Mine met its match the day Tsali spotted a squirrel. He bolted for the door and ran straight through the screen. That was the end of the factory sliding screen on my Travato.

Why this screen works better for me (and Tsali)
A few things matter every day in my van:
1. Magnetic opening in the middle
Instead of fighting a sliding track, the Bug Wall has a magnetic opening down the middle. You (or a dog) can push through and it snaps back shut. That’s the feature that matters most after a squirrel-chase disaster.
2. It folds / rolls up when I want the door fully open
When I don’t need the screen, I can fold it up out of the way and enjoy a fully open door. Fresh air when I want it — screen when I need it.
3. It’s built as a Travato replacement, not a generic tarp
The Bug Wall makes a Travato / Promaster-specific sliding-door screen. Fit and options (magnet vs zipper, K vs G opening location) matter — order the configuration for your Travato layout.
