Nano Tape vs Velcro in a Travato Van: What I Actually Use

f you live in a Travato (or any Class B), stuff slides when you drive. I don’t want to drill for every organizer or remote, so I use nano tape vs Velcro on purpose — each for a different job.

This nano tape vs Velcro Travato setup is what I actually use. No magic tape. Just an honest split.

Nano tape vs Velcro Travato: quick comparison

Light / might move later → Nano.

Heavier / want it to stay → Velcro.

Nano is easy to remove if I change my mind. Honest downside: I replace nano tape from time to time.

What I use Velcro tape for

  • Decor on the countertop

Velcro holds more weight and lasts longer in my van. Tradeoff: harder to peel off. Heat can soften adhesive Velcro in a hot van — check anything in the sun.

How I choose nano tape vs Velcro in the Travato

  1. Is it light? → Nano
  2. Heavier or bad if it falls? → Velcro
  3. Clean the surface, press firmly, then tug-test before you drive

That’s my nano tape vs Velcro Travato system — same no-drill mindset as my bathroom door curtain hack: https://trailnado.com/van-life/travato-59k-bathroom-door-hack-curtain-instead-of-sliding-door

(If you saw the reel: the kitchen-flying opener is a dramatized “what if.” It hasn’t happened to me — I stick things down before I drive.)

This is what works in my Winnebago Travato. I’m not a pro installer. Surfaces vary; use adhesives at your own risk.
